Cable Contract - Your input required

The contract with Comcast to provide basic cable service will expire at the end of August.  Comcast has notified us that the rates will increase from $13.00 per unit per month to $35.00 per unit per month and require another 10 year contract.  We have 2 options: 1) sign the new contract with Comcast and raise the assessments to compensate for the increase in the rates, or 2) allow owners to obtain their own service and use the decrease in costs to offset any potential increases in assessments in the next year’s budget.

Special Loss/Deficiency Assessment

The Board of Directors has levied a Special Loss/Deficiency Assessment due to damage suffered during Hurricane Ike.  The assessment is due July 1, 2009.  Payment should be made to: The 3000 South Braeswood Council of Co-Owners, c/o Sterling Bank, P.O. Box 4991, Houston, Texas 77210-4991.
