From the Houston Chronicle:
South Braeswood Drive’s long-awaited reconstruction between Kirby and Stella Link is scheduled to begin Sept. 7.
The $5.5 million project is due to end in January 2012.
Project construction manager Steven Aranda, with Houston-based Reytec Construction Resources, said the goal is to finish early.
“We expect to beat the schedule,” he said.
Crews will work 7 a.m.-5:30 p.m. Monday through Friday, but times may vary, including Saturday work as needed, Aranda said.
He asked for residents’ patience with disruptions.
“Sometimes you’re going to come home and something will be blocking your driveway,” he said. “It shouldn’t be there long.”
Heavy equipment is due to arrive Sept. 7, and work will get under way within a day or two, Aranda said.
Construction will proceed from Stella Link toward Kirby, beginning on the north side of the divided, four-lane boulevard. During the north-side work, the south side will carry two-way traffic.
